Landscape Designs for the North Atlanta Metro Area
Credentials
Natalie earned her Landscape Design Certification from Cornell University, where she studied under Professor Nina Bassuk, a nationally recognized expert in urban horticulture and sustainable landscapes. She is also a University of Georgia Master Gardener and Master Naturalist and a certified Pollinator Steward. She is certified by the state of Georgia in Water Conservation and Soil Erosion Control and has a national Project Management Certification from the Project Management Institute.
Her Career Path
Natalie's path to landscape design reflects an unusual combination of horticulture, design, psychology, and project management. Natalie holds a PhD in psychology and spent much of her early career in IT project management. Those experiences continue to shape the way she works with clients—listening carefully, understanding how they want to use and experience their outdoor spaces, and bringing organization and attention to detail from the initial vision through installation.
History Of Service
Before establishing Georgia’s Deep Roots, Natalie spent more than a decade building her horticultural expertise through hands-on gardening, conducting classes in horticulture for the community and designing and managing community landscape projects. Her experience spans residential gardens, community and public landscapes, pollinator habitats, school gardens, senior living communities, and municipal projects.
Designs with Purpose
Through Georgia’s Deep Roots, Natalie works closely with each client to create outdoor spaces that feel connected to both the home and the people who live there. Plant selections are guided not only by beauty, but also by site conditions, long-term maintenance needs, seasonal interest, and their ability to support ecological health and biodiversity. Natalie also enjoys sharing her horticultural knowledge, helping clients better understand their gardens and feel confident caring for them over time.
Natalie, the Designer and Owner of Georgia's Deep Roots, LLC, believes a beautiful landscape should be part of what makes you love coming home. It should welcome you from the street, give you something beautiful and interesting to see when you look out your windows, and make you want to step outside and feel renewed. Thoughtful landscape design brings the house and grounds together so the entire property feels like home—a place that supports the way you live and adds value to your home, today and for years to come.
